PROJECT 3: A LIVE CAPSULE
PROCESS
This was the longest lasting project of 11 weeks. It included a site visit to Sekeping Serendah, development of floor plans, sections, sketches and ideas to be expressed while making our final model for the container cafe. It also included the making if the final presentation board which we had to present to the judges. 11 weeks ensued with continuously drawing and making the mockups as well as the final model. There were several tutorials, pinup and critique sessions in order to help us grow and prepare us for the final outcome.

REFLECTION: EXPRESSION OF SPACE
Going to all the tutorials and constantly working to bring changes to the floor plans and sections that reflect on the model has helped me understand a great deal about space programming and how to make it function well. With continuously discussing with Miss Diana about my idea for the pipe cafe/coffee gallery, I learnt about the importance of arranging space according to function first and then for aesthetic purposes. I learnt how to utilize small units of space into functional spaces such as making it a dining area or for storage purposes. I had to redo the model quite a lot as it was not up to standards but in doing so, I learnt a lot on what to put where and whether my ideas can be functional, instead of just serving as an aesthetic feature to admire.This will truly help me in planning for the future while making floor plans and designing elements that have value.
